agreed considering the artisans are missing a large target market, all the 50,000 asu students hanging out a block away who still have parental money and their own to supplement... In the six years i've been going, I have only bought something one time... and go figure it was for my mom... the demographic the festival seems to cater to.

Same old arts festival year after year. It's not even unique anymore. The same artisans show up in Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Carefree, etc. at different times of the year.

Agree, the twice a year craft swap is boring. Put it in Tempe Beach Park if you want to keep it and bring something more vibrant, dynamic, meaningful and youthful to Mill Ave, and do something quarterly. And make sure you include bicycles, TEAM and security is very unfriendly to bicyclists during the craft swaps.

I've got nothing against the art festival, but there are other art/craft fairs in AZ that attract more youthful (hip) vendors and shoppers. The type of art that is displayed has an impact on the perceived image of Mill Ave.
