Get rid of the panhandlers
While it does give it the big city feeling, it's also very annoying
We have met with the Tempe Police department frequently in order to curb aggressive panhandling. They have assured us that they are on top of it!

It's 2012 and panhandlers are still a major deterrent to visiting Mill Avenue in the evenings.

Consider “homeless meters” into which we can deposit money which goes directly to food banks. Then no one will ever have to give a panhandler money.
